The Takahashi Foundation was established in 1992, the year in which Minebea Group of Companies (Thailand) celebrated its 10th anniversary of successful business operations in Thailand. The executives agreed to donate 20 million baht as an initial registered capital for establishing a foundation aimed at supporting students in Thailand who lack the financial means to continue their education, as education is the cornerstone of sustainable development. Many young Thais still lose this opportunity. In honor of Mr. Takami Takahashi, the founder and first president of Minebea Group of Companies, the foundation was named after him. The foundation invited high-ranking officers from the Ministry of Education, the Higher Education Commission, and Rajamangala University of Technology to manage its operations.
